Paperpiecing is not my forte in designing, but I have had these little See Under the Sea designs in my pattern file for 6-8 years. How appropriate they are for the Sea Foam and Tide Pool fabrics I had in my Island Batik Treasure Box! Perfect!
This hot little number is sure to add some spice to your festive Cinco De Mayo party table! Available in the April issue of The Quilt Pattern Magazine . April issue is available through the end of May. Simple and quick to make. It would make a lovely hostess gift! Olé!

Build a Sunny Brick Wall and Plant it too!
As an Island Batik Ambassador I have the privilege of participating in the Mini Madness Challenge. The creations are to be 24" x 24" or smaller. I was fortunate to work with Florida Oranges Stamps, Island Batik's 5" charm pack. I had such fun using my favorite brights, and most of all the orange-yellows that I love so much, to build and plant my Sunny Brick Wall.
To receive your FREE copy of Stone Cottage Designs' Sunny Brick Wall it is as simple as 1-2-3: 1. Subscribe for Updates, 2. Comment on this post and 3. Send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org, Subject Line: Sunny Brick Wall, (Then tell your friends where they can get their own free copy, as well.) What color will your Brick Wall be? Sunny like mine? Or maybe tropical in cool blues, soft pastels or warm autumn colors? Whatever your choice, let me know. I would love to see and post a photo of your creation to share with our reader! and at Stone Cottage Designs-Quilts Facebook page.
Color Puzzle A favorite quilt of mine. From the book Singular Sensation.
I love COLOR! I love the drama of Color on Black. Sometimes when I design a quilt the graphic rendition excites me but the fabric rendition is lack-luster, but NOT so with Color Puzzle. It exceeded my expectations. I love how it glows. It doesn't show as well on a bed. This is a larger quilt 87" x 87", I need a larger wall to hang it on. A larger wall is not to be found in my 80 year old Stone Cottage! Oh well, it is a keeper!
I really want to think that Spring is right around the corner. I had the opportunity to design Budding Spring Runners for The Quilt Pattern Magazine, for the March 2016 issue, to be published on March 1. TQPM is offering a special subscription price for my readers so they can receive this pattern and many, many more. Visit the TQPM Website and use the Secret Code: rock
Budding Spring Table Runner uses Northcottt Watercolor and Tocasna collections.
Budding Spring Table Runner -17" x 39
Budding Spring Bed Runner usesIsland Batik Collections.

Both Runners are easy to piece and will provide a breath of spring to your table or bed.
As a new Island Batik Ambassador I want to spread the word about Island Batik's Planes, Trains, & Automobiles Blog Hop that began today. Check out IB Blog to find all the blogs that are participating. There will be some fabric give-aways as you go through the blogs.
While Stone Cottage Designs isn't able to participate in this Blog Hop (being so new) I look forward to seeing all the great designs other designers come up with and all the luscious new Island Batik collections!
